Art Nouveau Cocktail Menu

We are delighted to introduce our new Art Nouveau Cocktail Menu in The Delaunay Bar — a celebration of elegance, creativity, and our Central European heritage.

Art Nouveau in Austria and Central Europe

The Art Nouveau movement, known locally as Jugendstil in Austria, emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a bold reaction against the industrial age.

Artists and designers across Central Europe sought to bring beauty, craftsmanship, and artistic integrity back into everyday life. In cities like Vienna, Prague, and Budapest, the movement flourished, transforming architecture, painting, and decorative arts with its signature flowing lines, floral motifs, and intricate ornamentation.

At the heart of Vienna’s Art Nouveau revolution stood the Vienna Secession, led by Gustav Klimt and his contemporaries, who broke away from traditional art institutions to create works that reflected the modern spirit.

Similarly, artists like Alphonse Mucha in Prague became synonymous with the style, producing iconic posters and illustrations that still captivate viewers today. This artistic golden age not only defined the visual identity of Central Europe but also left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire contemporary creatives.
